چکیده

Abstract Brazil is among the countries that most use pesticides in world. These chemicals cause undesirable changes ecosystems, particularly contamination of non-target native forest species through drift. The nuisances caused by go beyond environmental damage and include public health problems. objective this work was to evaluate effects glyphosate on leaf gas exchange, photosynthetic pigments morphoanatomy seedlings Eugenia dysenterica. visual toxicity, physiological morphoanatomical characteristics E. dysenterica, when exposed concentrations 0, 550, 1110 2220 g a.e. ha-1 glyphosate, were analyzed. results indicate herbicide toxicity leaves all treatments. Reductions photosynthesis (A), stomatal conductance (gs), transpiration (E) at 47 DAA, also identified. Glyphosate anatomical structures dysenterica leaves. From data analyzed it possible affirm plants are sensitive action glyphosate. Visible symptoms such as chlorosis necrosis edge indicators can be used rural communities a warning risk contamination.

Physiological responses of glyphosate-resistant and glyphosate-sensitive soybean to aminomethylphosphonic acid, a metabolite of glyphosate.

Aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) is formed in glyphosate-treated glyphosate-resistant (GR) and glyphosate-sensitive (GS) soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] plants and is known to cause yellowing in soybean. Although, AMPA is less phytotoxic than glyphosate, its mode of action is different from that of glyphosate and is still unknown. Greenhouse studies were conducted at Stoneville, MS to determi...

Bacterial responses to environmental herbicide pollutants (glyphosate and paraquat)

The toxic effect of herbicides on non- target microorganisms may influence degradation of organic matter resulting in changes to nutrient cycling. In the present study, different strains of bacteria incubated in media containing different concentrations of glyphosate and paraquat were assessed over a period of two incubation terms. The deleterious impact of the herbicide was observed as glyphos...

Development and characterization of new microsatellites for Eugenia dysenterica DC (Myrtaceae).

Microsatellite markers were developed for population genetic analyses of the Neotropical tree Eugenia dysenterica DC (Myrtaceae), after construction of a shotgun genomic library for microsatellite discovery. Nine primers were designed, of which 5 yielded amplified product. These primers were polymorphic for 97 individuals collected in 3 distinct localities. The number of alleles per locus (prim...

Genetic structure and gene flow in Eugenia dysenterica DC in the Brazilian Cerrado utilizing SSR markers

The “cagaita tree” (Eugenia dysenterica) is a plant found widespread in the Brazilian Cerrado. Its fruit is used for popular consumption and for industrial purposes. This study opens a new perspective for the generation of population genetic data and parameters estimates for devising sound collection and conservation procedures for Eugenia dysenterica. A battery of 356 primer pairs developed fo...

In Vivo Effects of Cagaita (Eugenia dysenterica, DC.) Leaf Extracts on Diarrhea Treatment

Eugenia dysenterica is a plant typically found in the Cerrado biome and commonly used in popular medicine due to its pharmacological properties, which include antidiarrheal, skin healing, and antimicrobial activities. The effects of ethanolic extract, aqueous extract and infusion of E. dysenterica leaves on intestinal motility and antidiarrheal activity were evaluated using ricin oil-induced di...
